Glass Flowers at Harvard Museum of Natural History

Harvard's Ware Collection of Blaschka Glass Models of Plants - also known as the Glass Flowers - is an amazing collection of 4,000+ scientific botanical models made of glass. The father and son team of Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka fabricated these models between 1886 and 1936.

The spines on this cactus is just one example of the fine elements molded in glass in this exhibit.
